Asian markets were trading mixed. China's Shanghai Composite Index was trading at 2,563, down 3.75 points or 0.15% and Nikkei 225 Average was at 9,784.76, down 143.58 points or 1.45%.

Seoul Composite was trading at 1,732.96, down 6.91 points or 0.40% and Taiwan Weighted was at 7,521.85, down 68.04 points or 0.90%.

However, Hang Seng was trading at 20,735.81, up 2.32 points or 0.01%. Jakarta Composite was trading at 2,921.68, up 7.58 points or 0.26% and Straits Times was at 2,856.49, up 8.88 points or 0.31%.
