Asian markets were trading weak. China's Shanghai Composite was down 0.77% or 19.94 points at 2,572.21.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 0.83% or 164.62 points at 19,600.57.

Japan's Nikkei slipped 0.88% or 85.61 points at 9,683.09.

Singapore's Straits Times declined 0.58% or 15.96 points at 2,736.64.

South Korea's Seoul Composite shed 0.59% or 9.61 points at 1,631.64.

Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted plunged 1.28% or 94.49 points at 7,279.49.
