WORLD MARKET 19.05.2010 UPDATED 07.25AM

Asian markets were trading weak. China's Shanghai Composite was down 0.25% or 6.58 points at 2,588.20.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined 1.97% or 392.78 points at 19,552.16.

Japan's Nikkei plunged 1.75% or 179.35 points at 10,063.29.

Singapore's Straits Times shed 1.36% or 38.80 points at 2,805.55.

South Korea's Seoul Composite slipped 1.77% or 29.10 points at 1,614.14.

Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted fell 0.87% or 65.87 points at 7,519.43.
